When I walked into Affiliated Mortgage the first time I had no clue if I'd ever be able to buy a home. As a single parent it seemed out of reach, even with my VA eligibility. Troy sat down with me and walked me through my credit report, the various mortgage options and my budget to let me know how I could become a home owner. With his advice, I cleaned up my credit and just closed on my first home with a VA Loan.Troy and his staff were amazing through the entire process. Being pre-qualified allowed me to shop around with ease. I knew exactly how much I could spend based on the monthly payments I could afford without having to worry about becoming house-poor. The purchasing process is daunting but every step of the way I got a video from Troy that walked me through it and then a follow up call to answer any questions. Using a VA loan for a smaller budget was scary, the houses have to meet strict qualifications and the amount of paperwork was staggering. Not only did I get through it all with minimal stress, but we were able to close in only 6 weeks with a huge list of to-dos. I didn't think there was any way possible we would meet our closing date, but these guys got it done.A huge thank you to Troy, Sarah, and Tosha at Affiliated Mortgage for always being available when I needed them and making my path to home ownership a reality. From my experience, I'm sure they are great with any type of mortgage, but if you're a Veteran don't go anywhere else. I don't find many businesses that live up to the quality and professional standards I was accustomed to in the Marines, but this team did it with ease.
